Quality criteria

The meaning of the source text is faithfully rendered.

It is important for the reader to rely trustfully on the translated text compared to the source text.
My knowledge of the source language as well as a personal contact with the author guarantee a faithful translation.

The text is easily understandable.

A text that can't be understood is totally useless. A plain style responding to the target market expectations along with appropriate explanations are essential.
If necessary, the text is reworked with the agreement of the author.

French style is respected.

To simply convert text into the targeted language is not enough; when a text sounds obviously translated it is not pleasant to the reader.
To avoid such a problem a professional translator has to translate into his mother language.
